Julia Mackenroth

Julia Mackenroth is an international designer and product development consultant specialised in knitted fabrics with a Master of Arts in Knitwear from the Royal College of Art in London. Her work reaches from artistic hand knit catwalk pieces which has been presented during New York Fashion Week to smart textiles with integrated body monitoring sensors for research projects. Her approach to design is a combination of finest quality, modern technologies and the ideal correspondence between function and aesthetic aspiration for a timeless design. With nearly two decades experience in designing as well as developing knitwear and jersey products for companies such as The Row, Akris, Esprit, Escada, a research project for Swiss EMPA & its Spin off Nahtlos, Rohner Socks and Lahco she brings with her a profound professional experience and a wide network of suppliers and manufacturing facilities.
